Health Requirement
Good physical and mental health is essential for the enjoyment of these active, outdoors tours. You may travel in rugged areas removed from modern medical facilities. Good physical conditioning is recommended as preparation for all tours, especially those involving trekking.
By forwarding the deposit, the passenger certifies that he/she does not have any physical or other condition of disability that would create a hazard for him/her or other passengers. It is essential that any participant with a medical condition requiring regular treatment or which may be affected by vigorous activity, high altitude, heat, cold, other natural phenomenon, or particular foods, notifies us and the tour leaders, in writing in advance of travel.
We assume no liability for medical care or for special dietary requirements if not informed long in advance. The medical requirements by some places like Ngamba Island are a sole responsibility of the client to meet them. We bring Ngamba Island and the client in direct contact so that he is furnished with what is required of him before walking with the chimps.
Please note the following general health tips;
*You should make extra preparations if you have an existing medical condition.
*Take out adequate travel insurance or you could face a huge medical bill if you fall ill and need treatment
*check the health section of the country travel advice which you are to visit before you travel
*Drink plenty of water in hot climates to avoid dehydration
*Find out the local emergency services numbers and the number of the local hospital
Vaccination
Visit your GP as soon as possible to check if you need any vaccinations or other preventive measures (such as malaria tablets). Remember, these treatments aren’t usually available as NHS prescriptions.
Passport and Visa
International visitors require a passport that is valid for at least six months, together with onward travel documents. Passports should have a minimum of 2 clean pages per country visited, for visas and entry/exit stamps. All passport holders should verify with their travel agent or relevant consulate concerning visa entry requirements. If you are extending your journey to other countries, please establish entry requirements for those countries as well. Please ensure that you have all the necessary visas prior to departure (unless available on entry). If you intend to drive a vehicle in Africa please make sure you have a valid international driving license.
